Greetings from the President

Dear Friends and Colleagues

On behalf of the Child Neurology Association (Thailand), it is my great pleasure to announce the upcoming 16th Asian and Oceanian Congress of Child Neurology (AOCCN) which will be held in Bangkok from 5 – 7 of August 2021.

The venue of the congress is Shangri-La Bangkok, which is a superb place for a scientific meeting as well as for visiting Bangkok. The organizing committee is in the process of preparing the scientific program and social events.

This 3-day congress will provide up-to-date and practical information to participants to render proper care of children with neurological problems through various sessions including main plenary lectures, morning lectures and seminars, luncheon and evening sessions, and symposia which would be organized in parallel to serve the interests of the participants.

A Professor Fukuyama Memorial Lecture to honor the honorary founder of Asian and Oceania Child Neurology Association and a special session entitled Professor Pongsakdi Visudhiphan’s Lecture to honor the founder of child neurology in Thailand will be the highlights of the congress.

In addition, there will be sessions devoted to oral and poster presentations of research.  A Welcome Reception on the first evening and a Gala Dinner on the second day are social events that will be included in the registration.

Attending this congress will be a great opportunity for everyone to keep pace with current knowledge, to exchange experiences, to strengthen long-standing friendships, and to make new friends.  We do hope that this congress will be the bridge to harmonize the diversity in child neurology in our region.  We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to Bangkok in 2021.

Anannit Visudtibhan, MD, President, Child Neurology Association (Thailand)
